A clean engine compartment is very necessary to make a used
car look new. What is under the hood much is really important. Many of us neglect
this part, and many are afraid to clean this component with water. In this
article I will guide you on how you can clean the bay of your car's yourself.

In modern cars, all other components are computerized. There
are sensors that are responsible for smooth engine operation. These sensors are
water resistant but have a chance. First prepare the engine compartment for
cleaning; Then we will move on to our next step, which is clean and detailed.
Over time, dust, grease and dirt can accumulate in the
engine compartment. If primer regularly, this dust may cause the engine to warm
up.
Next step is to align the products that are needed for this
activity. Although these products are available in the market but you can
choose one of the options:
SONAX engine cold degreaser (Made in Germany)
Liquid Powder Formula 1 for plastics
Medium pressure water hose
Some quality towels
All the bristles of the brush have not too hard
Aluminium foil
Tape
Plastic bags
Now let’s discuss the Activity sequence:
Sealing of main sensors and their sockets
Air inlet duct sealing
Removing dirt with water
Application of degreaser
Rinse with water
Drying engine compartment
Polishing of plastic coatings and rubber components
Before starting this activity, make sure the motor is
completely cooled. "Do not do this
activity when the engine is hot!
Sealing of components:
Seal the main sensors
that the air sensors on the bottom of the air filter, air filter assembly, etc.
You can also cover with sheet sensors. Aluminum foil works well for water
resistance. Our goal is to protect water; Not to seal it. Be sure to seal all
visible electrical outlets, including plug wires and connectors.
Air inlet duct seal :
close the air inlet opening with bag
and glue so that during waterless operation is introduced into it.
Remove loose dirt :
Once the necessary
components are covered, it's time to start! Start by spraying a low-pressure
stream of water into the engine. You should not spray a jet of high pressure
water by detailing an engine. The lens with the initial rinse is to remove the
dirt and grease.
Application of degreaser:
After removing dirt, spray the
Sonax degreaser on all engine components. Each corner and each tube pipe. This
degreaser is free of all chemicals and is not harmful to automotive paint.
After spraying, leave the engine for ten minutes and, during this time, use the
brush to clean the raised surfaces, joints and all other components to ensure
complete removal of dirt.
Rinse with water:
Rinse After applying motor brushing and degreasing, rinse
the motor with low pressure water. The use of high pressure water is not
suitable for cleaning the engine compartment as it has the potential to enter
the electrical components.
Drying the engine compartment :
After rinsing bay you will
not have any other engine left. Now you have two options for drying the motor.
1. Dry with a towel or a time and not easy to reach all
corners.
2. The second is dry with high pressure air
Start with the head cover of the engine (intake manifold
air). Pour a few drops of liquid and spread the powder evenly with a clean
cloth. Do this until you get the desired brightness.
Polish rubber finish, hoses and engine will have a shiny,
like a new car.
