Which is better Suzuki Ciaz or Honda City

honda city and suuki ciaz

Pak Suzuki has finally launched sedan after years of absence in the segment sedan in Pakistan. Suzuki Kizashi, although not immediately before and Suzuki Liana than before, but had both sets of problems kept them and did not become as popular as Suzuki had expected. Suzuki Kizashi was too expensive for a car with a Suzuki badge on it. No matter how bad it was, Suzuki's own name makes people think twice before spending five million rupees on it. Likewise, Liana had her own set of problems. INITIALLY Pak Suzuki was able to sell a few thousand units of Liana, but it was not as popular as the Suzuki Baleno was.

Suzuki Baleno was the last undisputed success in the sedan segment by Pak Suzuki. And before Baleno, Suzuki Margalla was there. Now, with the new Ciaz, Pak Suzuki is trying to bring back to glory days or Margalla and Baleno. But things are not the same as decades ago when Suzuki sold these cars. Pakistan's auto market has changed slightly since then. Not only are foreign threats, Suzuki now has homegrown competitors as well. Previously, Pak Suzuki has no certifiable competitor. But now the story is a bit different. This small segment of the sedan has a new rule. And it is other than that of Honda. Honda Pakistan has had some success with its Honda City.

This blog is dedicated to a brief comparison of the Honda City, the current leader in this special segment, and Suzuki Ciaz, the newcomer. Before I start, I have to mention the price of the vehicles. The cheapest city is available for PKR 1,523,000 and goes upto PKR 1,815,000. Honda city is available in a total of six variants, two engine options (1.3 and 1.5 liter, engines) manual And car options and transmission are available. On the other hand, the Ciaz is available in two variants. 2017 Suzuki Ciaz manual has been priced at 1,699,000 in 2017 Ciaz While the price is currently in automatic PKR 1,839,000.

Exterior:

It is the point of not talking car that looks better as it is subjective. It does not make sense to waste time

arguing with the car that is beautiful or ugly. But an apparent This remark can be made is ease with Honda looks elegant Compared to Ciaz. On the other hand, Suzuki Ciaz looked plump out of it. The city has much sharper lines and you will find corners and sharp edges all over the car. The headlights and grille and side mirrors cover the boot in the rear, and have to the right held all the cuts and lines. But Ciaz has a slightly round-ish appearance compared to the city. The lines are softer and rounded edges were. The Ciaz seems little cultivated on the Honda City.

This "grown up" look is not only due to the design of the car, but it is also roughly the size of the current Ciaz numbers. Suzuki Ciaz is longer and wider than the city. Honda City is 4,395 mm measuring 1695 mm in length and total width. Compared to this, Suzuki Ciaz is 4490 mm measured in length and width is 1730 mm. The Ciaz also has a lowered roof line, measuring at 1,475 mm, 1,480 compared to the height of the city mm. One thing that greatly influences the driving comfort and features of a car is the wheelbase of a car. Suzuki Ciaz wheelbase of 2650 mm versus 2,550 mm wheelbase of the city of Honda. Wheelbase Ciaz is only 50 mm shorter than the wheelbase of 2017 Corolla and the Civic two 2,017 (2,700 mm), and only 20 mm shorter than the ninth generation Honda Civic (2,670 mm).
Suzuki Ciaz is available in five colors, and probably none of them is very eye catchy. Except brown, rest of them are typical black, white and shades of gray. The Honda City, the other is available in 7 colors which include red, blue, sports and few more.

Interior:

Taking into account the exterior dimensions of the two cars, one can expect the Ciaz to be wider than Honda City. This additional 110mm wheelbase translates Ciaz inside legroom and improved further. Ciaz also had more space in the trunk (510 liters) compared to the 506 liters in the city.
As far as luxury is concerned, since the City is available in less than six variants, you can choose most things. But this is not the case with Suzuki Ciaz. Ciaz feels a little less busy compared to the city. Since the City is available in different variants.
From the inside of the base in the city of 1.3 liters base, you get the equipment also based in Ciaz also. Not much to see on the dashboard. Get the easy distribution with the built-in audio unit, and the air conditioning unit below. The seats are just the fabric, and there is no multifunction steering wheel. Normal clothes such as electric windows, power steering, electric mirrors of the doors are there. However Suzuki likes to boast of all the storage places available in the new Ciaz. Apart from that, in terms of safety and protection, you get two airbags in front, there is safety alarm available, and the new car is keyless entry and an immobilizer. In addition, the 2017 Suzuki Ciaz is equipped with ABS with electric brake distribution (EBD).

In short, the interior of the new 2017 Ciaz is as simple as it gets. There are not so many, or rather all the bells and whistles people initially expected. This is something that can turn potential buyers away from the new car, you can get inside Considering that improvement in the city if you are willing to spend a little more on the high-end Aspire City models.

Engine + Transmission:

The new Suzuki  Ciaz offers new 1.4-liter 4-cylinder K series engine in line This is a little over 90 BHP. This VVT-K14 petrol engine has been well received and internationally. The engine comes with Suzuki variable valve technology to improve fuel economy and better maneuverability. Internationally, Suzuki said the new engine can go back up to 20 kilometers per liter. This is an impressive figure from any point. This is another story, but how the new engine works under driving conditions and what typical Pakistani fuel consumption on the real-world stage.

Compared to this, Honda also has two very impressive engines. Both 1.3- and 1.5-liter engines DEMONSTRATE Pakistan both themselves and abroad. The 1.3-liter engine is renowned for the impressive return fuel performance, especially in local driving. The 1.3-liter engine is fast enough on its own but if you want something more with power, you can opt for the 1.5-liter 120-hp engine It does.
As for the transmission refers to the new Ciaz, whether for a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. Honda City, on the other hand, is endowed with a manual transmission of 5 speeds (1.3 to 1.5 liters) and an automatic transmission 5 speeds prosmetec for transmission 1.3- and 1,5 liters models Honda City Aspire . Auto, 4-speed Ciaz can be a major diversion for many buyers. As mentioned above, the 4-speed automatic Ciaz has a price of Rs. 1,839,000. Compared to this, you can get a full load of Honda City Aspire 1.5 i-VTEC Prosmatec for Rs. 1,815,000.

Final Views

It's no secret that the new 2017 Suzuki Ciaz is relatively expensive and less equipped. And should since the new car has been imported from Thailand. And new units built entirely imported will still be more expensive than the same domestic manufacturing vehicle. Instead of locally assembling the car, Pak Suzuki for some reason prefers to import fully built units.
Pakistan Honda sold more than one hundred thousand units of this generation Honda City. The city sold more brothers, the Civic for most of the past two years. This highly profitable segment of small sedans run by Honda has been for almost a decade. The fact that Honda has skipped a generation in Pakistan when it comes to the city and continued with this generation and still managed to sell like hot bread says a lot about the growth potential especially in this segment and Honda as the company itself . So it stands to reason Suzuki Honda This challenge is for a piece of time on foot. Unfortunately for Suzuki, now is the Honda lawn. If the company had decided to ride the Ciaz locally, and made all the necessary preparations, the new car would have been excellent for our money!
